I’m Michele Bonanno, founder and principal designer of Sage Interior Design. I create elevated, inviting interiors that balance beauty, comfort and functionality. Spaces that feel thoughtfully designed while remaining true to the people who call them home.

My appreciation for color, balance and composition began at an early age and first led me to a career in the beauty industry. During my time with Lancôme and Estée Lauder, I developed a strong understanding of aesthetics, client relationships and the importance of truly listening. That same thoughtful personalized approach now guides every interior I design.

As a wife and mother of three, including a daughter with disabilities, I understand firsthand that a beautiful home must also support the way its residents genuinely live. This perspective allows me to approach each project with an added awareness of comfort, accessibility and livability without ever compromising style.

My work is also deeply influenced by my love of travel, history, architecture and nature. I’m drawn to interiors that feel collected rather than overly decorated, blending timeless details with fresh ideas to create homes with warmth, character and a meaningful sense of place.
